Too Young to be a Mama!
I was just a little girl when I lost my home. I don't know why. Wasn't I a cute enough kitten? I was lucky to be in the country where I could hide and keep safe. I learned how to catch my food, and then some people started leaving cat food in a dish out for me. It wasn't like I was ever going to trust people again. I watched them from afar and wouldn't come eat until they were gone. Then I met this other young cat, Jorts, who'd lost his home too, and I told him about the food that got left out. One thing led to another. You know how that goes. Then on the coldest day of the year, he runs up to the person on the porch and meows at her. And when she opens the door, he walks right in! I never saw him again, except when they took him away in a car. Something about "adoption," they said. I was a pregnant kitten, abandoned by everyone! At least the people, whom I was never going to trust because People, Yuck, kept putting food out for me, lots more, since I was expecting. I did not expect to have 6 kittens though. I had a safe place to hide them, and the people put out food, but 6 kittens are a lot to care for all by yourself. So one day, I picked up one kitten and scratched on the door. The people were thrilled with them all--and me too! I remembered about being a pet and thought maybe, if I just find the right person, I'd enjoy being a pet again and living inside. This time I'd really appreciate it, because I know how fast a home can go away and leave you hungry out in the cold. Will you help me find that wonderful place? Your house, perhaps?
